Refrigerator Repair Denver & Boulder

Today's Refrigerators can be a very high-tech Appliance. Computer boards and sensors, control refrigerator temperatures and good training is necessary to accurately diagnose and repair the problem.

Our Technicians are factory trained in most brands of Appliance Repair. We do in-shop training, as well as classroom and webinar training. It is Trinity's goal to keep our technicians trained in the latest technology.

How to tell if your refrigerator is the right temperature

First of all let's establish what a good refrigerator temperature is. Your refrigerator is divided into 2 halves, and therefore there are 2 different temperatures to maintain. A good freezer temperature is 0-5 degrees, and a good fresh food temperature is 35-40 degrees, (personally I like it closer to 35 degrees).

Now with-in the fresh food side of the refrigerator there could be different temperatures as well. The crispers can be set to different temps depending on the need.

Measuring temperature is not difficult, but a couple little tricks can make more accurate. The first thing to realize is that we need to be concerned with the food temps and not so much the air-temp in-side the refrigerator. Air-temps can vary but food temps will be more consistent. An easy way to measure the fresh food side is to put a glass of water in the refrigerator a put a thermometer in the glass, (be sure the thermometer is rated for refrigerator temperatures and that it is calibrated properly).

One fast way to tell if the freezer side of your refrigerator is cold enough is by checking your ice-cream, if it's too hard your freezer is too cold, and if it's to soft you freezer it too warm. Ice-cream seems to keep well with-in temperatures about 0-5 degrees which happens to be the perfect freezer temperature, so checking your ice-cream is a good way to check freezer temperature.
